About me

Rogerio R. Lima received his B.Eng. and M.Sc. degrees in 2009 and 2013, respectively, both in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil. Between 2011 and 2013, he was a teacher at the Education Institution for the Labor of Minas Gerais (UTRAMIG), also in Brazil, teaching mechatronics for technical-level courses. From 2013 to 2014, he worked as a System Engineer at the Foundation for Technological Innovations (FITec) by contributing to developing a fixed-wing UAV system designed to inspect power transmission lines. From 2014 to 2017, he worked as an embedded system consultant at Konatus. From 2013 to 2020, he worked as a lecturer at the Engineering Department of the University Center of Belo Horizonte (UniBH) in Brazil. From May to August of 2023, he worked in the Engineering Development Group (EDG) at MathWorks as an intern, where he collaborated with the company by working on one of the MathWorks products by implementing solutions in C++ and MATLAB, attended recurrent internal meetings to present deliverables to the team, and worked closely with coworkers to keep the project's timeline. Since 2020, he has been pursuing his Ph.D. in Robotics at West Virginia University (WVU) in the USA. His main interests are robotics, sensor fusion, artificial intelligence, and embedded systems.
